The iTunes App Store offers downloads of TomTom U.S.A. for iPhone / iPod touch for $39.99. That's $10 under December's mention and the lowest total price we've seen for this navigation software.
Note that this software will only function with the original iPhone or iPod touch if the TomTom Car Kit is attached. No Car Kit is required for iPhone 3G / 3GS users.
